TOOLS USED:

CMPEG and CMPEG63M (Windows Front End for CMPEG)
    Photoshop for the poster

CREATION TIME:

2 weeks of full work, since I start with the drawings of the model,
to the modelling of the NURBS and to get the final mpeg video

Intel Pentium II 450 mhz 128 MB RAM, for display and all related
    stuff while I work:
My terrific Olivetti 14" 640x480 VGA monitor! :(

ANIMATION DESCRIPTION:

There's a kind of dream about the best way to do a travel always
present in the man mind, and it's about to fly.
Here is a little boy or an angel kind, who's, while is standing in a
cloud, he cann't resist to make a travel, gravity inbetween, to the
ground, he makes this travel till reach in an undesirable way the
    floor.

RENDER MUSIC:
    Aphex Twin, Come to Daddy.

HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED:
First, I drew some shapes on paper, and a kinda of storyboard of the
movie, to let me know how much time and the general plan of the
movements that the puppet will make. Things went the right way till
I began to see in a more detailed fashion the actions of the puppet.
Some things were modified after the storyboard.

The puppet was drew in some differents point of view, but again,
when I model it (it's my first time that I use NURBS) some things were
changed. I make a few shapes in 3D that define the boy and some clouds.
All the modelling was made in the Cinema 4D editor. I don't convert
the NURBS to meshes because the file grows without limits, and the
display becames slowly. Some object was just converted to a simple
plane (Skin command) to enforce the 2D look of the movie.
Finally, when I set up the objects to move, without bones or IK, I just
set up all of them manually, and I get a mess with the time line,
that it's an excelent way to control the animation, but I don_t
take care of the objects hierarchy, and the confussion becames when I
look for an object and it's position, scale or direction in the space
in a determinate time. It's a powerfull tool.

The 2D or Toon alike render is the result of the experience of try
to get a similar look with the use of a camera that don't make a real
snapshot of the scene (perspective), I just want the isometric or
gentleman projections, but in the way, I discover a preview render
that just draw the outlines and a raw view of the colors, for faster
renderings, then I decide to use it for the final animation, the only
thing that happens is that the lights got to point exactly were the
action is, and got to be full iluminated. When I get all the frames of
the animation, I encoded them with CMPEG. That's all.

VIEWING RECOMMENDATIONS:

I just see it whit the Multimedia Player v6.4, updated from windows 98.
It seems to play the video in the right way.
