This is a collection of files that I thought might be useful to anyone
who is curious about my Ringworld pictures. More information can be
found at my Ringworld web site,
http://www.rahul.net/rootbear/graphics/ringworld. The images there use
an earlier version of the surface shader. I plan to update the images
with the current shader soon.

I've also included a PNG copy of my original TIFF image, but I'm not sure
what it looks like, since I have no PNG viewer available. JPEG compression
is not kind to space images, especially star fields, so I'm hoping the PNG
image is better. I plan to make PNG and TIFF images available on the web
site in the future. Here's what you should have gotten:

README
    This file.

ring-jw1.png
A copy of the image in PNG format.

ring-jw1.rib
The actual rib file sent to the rendrib renderer in Larry Gritz's BMRT
    tools package.

ring.c
rw.h
This is the code that generates the Ringworld geometry file. rw.h
includes the physical parameters of the Ring, taken from Niven, and
    converted to metric.

ring.rib
    The output of ring.c

ringsurf.sl
The surface shader source code for the Ring surface. All of the really
    interesting stuff is here.
