IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Depicted here is the instant when Pygmalion's creation turns from
stone to flesh through the power and magic of Aphrodite.

(Pygmalion was a sculptor in ancient Greece who loved women, but
was left bitter from being jilted from a relationship. He then focused his
talents to creating the perfect woman in marble. He toiled and toiled
away, until his creation was completed. She was so beautiful that
Pygmalion fell in love with his statue. Aphrodite (the goddess of love)
felt compassion for the lonely lover, and gave life to Pygmalion's statue.)

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

Pygmalion and his creation were created in Poser 2.
Pygmalion himself was practically modeled from the ground up, I
designed his sandals around the feet of the nude male model included
with Poser 2 by using Rhino 3D's excellent nurbs modeling capabilities.

The same was done with his apron, his pocket, the tools in the pocket,
and his pants were included from another Poser model.

The backdrop was also modeled in Rhino 3D, textured in Texture Magic,
and then positioned in PoVSB.

So, after a few weeks of modeling, and over 100,000 smoothed triangles later,
Pygmalion's desire lives.
