IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

A snowman in the middle of a pine grove. This is the first image I
created
with POV-Ray. I'm still proud of it, even though it looks kinda dumb compared
to the
other images I've seen in past competitions. It looks cartoonish, but I
couldn't figure
out a better way to make the trees. It works out good though, because I grew up
in
Hawaii and I only saw snowmen in TV cartoons. I always wished I could make
snowmen, and
now I have, to some virtual degree.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The snowman was made completely of CSGs. It was programed by hand in the POV
text editor.
The hat is a SOR which was also hand typed. The sky was made with a sky sphere
statement.
I made the tree in Breeze 2.0 (acquired after the snowman had already been
made), and then
scaled and translated copies of it all over the place to give the illusion of a
small grove
of pines.
