IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

When I was a little boy, I was fascinated by a comic
by Winsor Mc Cay "little nemo in Slumberland".
My work is an hommage to this poetic masterpiece.
The girl with her "flying bed" is entering Slumberland
by a strange gate : I decided to use the only fourth
dimensional object known in raytracing : a julia
               fractal object !!!
Dreams may be trips in the 4th dimension ...

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The girl was modelled in 3ds4 then converted to Povray
"smooth triangles" and textured in Povray editor. I
made an include file with this stuff.
The bed was modelled in Povlab. It's a little "heavy"
as if it was a sort of boat...
The red cover is an height_field.
The lamp is a little halo.
The girl was included in the bed file and positioned.
The whole scene was converted to another include file.
Then I created 3 hf with hf-lab (the hills,
the mountain and other far mountains ) and began to
construct the main scene : I positioned the background
landscape with a dark blue moonlight.I added a giant
sky sphere with stars and 2 layers of fog.
I created and suited the julia fractal object to be a
kind of tunnel with a glass texture.
I had to include the bed object and add a blue spotlight
on the right to enlight the girl with her bed ... and
               render !
The main scene was entirely composed with the internal
Povray editor and I had a lot of "work in progress" test
renders to do before achieving the final image.

I join only the main pov file in the zip file.
Adding all data would make a too big file ...
