IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

33 butterlies over the sea flying towards the reddish, setting sun.
The butterflies are swallow-tails, one of the famoust butterflies in
Europe. On the horizon the contours of an island can be recognized.
Because it is in the back light it appears black.

By the way: I have the impression that the butterflies have decreased
dramatically. I remember that when I was a little child there were
many butterflies and many kind of them. But nowadays I hardly ever see
a single butterfly.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

For the wings of the butterflies I scanned a picture and used that as
image map. The body of the insect consists of spheres and cylinders.
The sun is a textured sphere.
The island is a high field.
