IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

------------------
        In a constant attempt to find an idea related to the topic, but not to
close,
        I decided to not render "real" warfare. So I had to search for
"alternative"
        battles... and come quickly with this one (in fact, the only kind of
battle
        I had ever participated, in my pretty quiet life...). The title is
related
        to the "weapons" used... This battle took place during the detention (?)
of
        two nasty pupils, but it seems that it will not last very long
anymore...

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

------------------------------------------
        Walls, floor, door, etc...
        ==========================
        The walls are simple boxes, with a texture that procedurally mixes
several instances
        of an image map. A rather complicated explanation for something that
should be simple,
        and that I failed at (you can see some seams on the right wall, there
must be something
        that I've done wrong, but I only saw that during the final render, and I
have no more time
        to re-render...).
        The floor is just a bunch of boxes, simply textured.
        The door, windows, etc.. are basic CSG.

        The furnitures
        ==============
        A very short time after I've come with this idea, Gilles Tran updated is
site (www.oyonale.com),
        and provided the source for class chair and tables. Cool !! Something I
won't get bored to model.
        I've just modified his code to make different tables and chairs (macros)
and tweaked the textures
        to fit my needs. I also added the professor's desk.
        The balls of paper are uv-mapped mesh2, created by a macro of my own,
and pseudo-randomly placed.
        The texture of the blackboard comes from a photo I took in the school
class where my mother works.

        The characters
        ==============
        The 2 "enemies" are standard Poser4 boy model, with very simple
textures. The prefect is DAZ's Michael
        model, with DAZ's texture maps, and various clothes and props. They are
posed using Poser 4.

        The lighting
        ============
        As all my IRTC entry since one year now, this render uses POV's
radiosity.
        An area_light for the sun, coming from outside, and a textured
sky_sphere (that can be partially
        seen in the reflection on the inside window panes) illuminate the
scene.

        Except for copyrighted meshes and image maps, the source code is
provided.
