Sometimes paintings are a little more realistic than they look.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I initially planned to model a pond creature in Rhino, but quickly decided that
my organic modelling skills weren't up to it. I had a fish poser object so I
decided
to use that instead. The three 'paintings' were created in Vue d'Espirit 2 and
processed
in photoshop to give a painted look'. I built up the main scene (paintings,
sculptures and
room) then spent several hours aligning the fish so that it matched with the
painting.
The water drops are created with a macro I wrote to place objects falling from a
moving area
of space. The closer of the sculptures is a julia fractal, the other is an
isosurface.

The scene is lit mostly with spotlights, allowing me to have areas well lit and
others in shadow.
