IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

"One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do"
     - One, Three Dog Night (www.threedognight.com)

This lyric is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the topic
was Loneliness. I decided to portray it literally.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The first thing I created was the 'one' figure out of rounded cubes and
cylinders. I modeled it with joints in what would be the knees, waist
and neck in order to pose it as needed.

The bench and streetlight were modeled after real world object I found
searching the internet. Both were created from CSGs.

I tried to keep the textures simple and cartoonish. The bench uses
slightly modified stock Moray textures. The wall uses Jeff Lee's
brick texture technique (http://www.shipbrook.com/jeff/raytrace/bricks.html).

The lighting comes from an area light on top of the streetlight with low
ambient light.

The zip file contains the Moray file as well as the exported POV-Ray files.
